Atlas
themeable GPS navigation app
Themeable GPS navigation app — A themeable GPS app you can make your own. Turn-by-turn navigation with a twist — swap the entire look and voice of your map with themes, from a clean daily driver to something playful.
Part of the studio's automation tools work.
Why it exists
Every map app looks the same and feels sterile. Navigation is one of the screens you stare at most, and it's the one you can do the least with — a grey grid you don't get to make your own.
The themeable GPS navigation app is full turn-by-turn built as a progressive web app: search a place, route to it and follow along across driving, walking and cycling. The twist is that the entire map genuinely reskins into different aesthetic worlds — fifteen of them, from a clean daily driver to medieval parchment, neon cyberpunk, noir and a pirate treasure-trail — and each world brings its own immersive navigation voice, not just a colour filter over the same tiles.
It's built on a vector map, so every layer — roads, water, buildings and labels — is truly recoloured per theme rather than filtered. It installs straight from the browser with no app store, keeps a quiet "distance driven" odometer instead of a loud dashboard, and can surface opt-in hazard alerts as you approach them. Three themes and core navigation are free; the full set of fifteen, hazard alerts and sync come with Plus.
